    KDEAM Sunglasses
    KDEAM Sunglasses 6-Month Warranty

    Your KDEAM sunglasses are covered by a 6-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, effective from the date of purchase on smael.co.za. This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

    • Unauthorised repairs or modifications
    • Normal wear and tear β€” gradual fading, minor scuffs, or nose-pad wear from daily use

    • Items purchased from any retailer other than smael.co.za
    Please note: We do not offer repairs. If your warranty claim is approved, you will be required to return the defective item. A replacement unit will be dispatched once received and inspected. Replacement units carry only the remaining warranty period from the original purchase date β€” the warranty does not reset.
    Courier costs: Defects confirmed within 30 days of purchase β€” we cover courier collection and redelivery at no cost. Claims approved after 30 days carry a R100 handling fee (processing + outbound shipping of the replacement).
    Caring for your KDEAM Sunglasses

    Proper care keeps your sunglasses performing their best and ensures your warranty remains valid. Damage from neglect or improper care is not covered.

    • Always clean lenses with the microfibre cloth provided β€” never with paper towels, tissues, or clothing.
    • Avoid contact with chemicals such as hairspray, perfume, sunscreen, or household cleaners.
    • Store your sunglasses in a protective case when not in use.
    • Do not leave sunglasses in extreme heat (e.g. on a car dashboard) β€” this can warp frames and damage lens coatings.
    How to submit a warranty claim

    2. 2Our team will review your claim and may request additional images to assess whether the issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect.

    Your SMAEL watch is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, effective from the date of purchase on smael.co.za. This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

    Your SMAEL watch carries a 5ATM water resistance rating, providing protection against splashes, rain, and brief accidental water exposure in everyday conditions. 5ATM does not make this watch suitable for water activities.

    Do not use your SMAEL watch during: hot showers or baths β€’ swimming or diving β€’ water sports of any kind β€’ saunas or steam rooms β€’ prolonged submersion. Water damage from these activities is not covered under this warranty.
    The 5ATM rating covers: splashes and rain β€’ hand-washing (brief exposure) β€’ accidental water contact in daily use.

    Water resistance is not permanent and can diminish over time due to normal wear. Seal degradation is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered.

    Microwear Smartwatches 12-Month Warranty

    Your Microwear smartwatch is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, effective from the date of purchase on smael.co.za. This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

    ⚑ IP68 Water Resistance β€” Important Information

    Your Microwear smartwatch carries an IP68 water resistance rating. While IP68 is a recognised laboratory dust and water ingress standard, it is tested under controlled, static conditions and does not certify the device as suitable for real-world water activities. This rating provides limited protection against accidental splashes and brief water exposure in everyday use only.

    Do not use your Microwear smartwatch during: swimming or diving β€’ hot showers or baths β€’ water sports of any kind β€’ saunas or steam rooms β€’ exposure to pressurised water. Water damage from these activities is not covered under this warranty.
    The IP68 rating covers: brief accidental splashes β€’ light rain β€’ hand-washing (momentary contact) β€’ sweat during exercise under normal conditions.

    IP68 water resistance is a lab-rated standard, not a guarantee of waterproofing in all real-world conditions. Water resistance can degrade over time due to normal wear, drops, or seal damage. Degradation of water resistance is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered under this warranty.
